It was painful to watch this team, today.
Was it injuries? Was it too many rookies? No.
It was reckless, inconsistent play that was marred by penalties and poor tackling.
The defense could not get off of the field because they could not stop the run game. They could not stop the passing game, and even when they did make a stop, they commited a stupid penalty to keep the Packers drive alive.
Tim Jennings played like a high schooler, today. He commited 3 stupid penalties that resulted in Packers first downs. The offense is still not clicking completely. When Manning has two INT's returned for touchdowns, there is a problem.
The Packers played a great game. They had a good game plan.
I will say one thing. Part of the game of football is momentum. Tony Dungy needs to step out there and take a chance. There is no reason why we should have not gone for the first down on 4th and 1; especially when your defense cannot stop the other team. If we make it, it swings our way. It was crucial, and I fully believe we could have made it.
I'm gonna have to forgot about this for now, because I'm so upset.
I'm going on vacation!
